Fixe Puput Wide climbing quickdraw
The Fixe Puput Wide quickdraw is ideal for wall climbing, designed to facilitate the insertion of the carabiner thanks to its characteristic conical nose. Its wide size ensures great maneuverability, while the extended friction zone helps preserve the life of both the rope and the carabiner.
The Wide version stands out for its 25 mm wide polyamide carabiner, which offers a comfortable grip, perfect for projects and lead climbing. The increased width also prevents the set from twisting once positioned on the wall, while the small rubber insert keeps the rope carabiner secure. The sling is available in three lengths: 12 cm, 18 cm, and 24 cm.
The design of the Puput is intended for intense use on all types of walls. The name comes from the bird Upupa epops, which has a characteristic beak that inspired the shape of the carabiner.
The carabiner allows for smoother and more precise operations thanks to: a conical nose that facilitates insertion on plates, bolts, or other elements without snagging, a beveled bottom for quick disengagement, and the Keylock closure that prevents snagging on rope or plate. The versatile dimensions ensure great maneuverability in every situation: 100 mm in height, 64 mm in width, a 24 mm opening in the straight carabiner and 26 mm in the bent one, made of 7075 aluminum.
The work on the wall protects the rope: the wide contact area of 10.5 mm allows the rope to slide over a greater radius, extending the life of both elements. The polyamide sling offers a comfortable grip during projects and lead climbs, avoiding twists thanks to its 16 mm width and the rigidity of the tape. The discreet rubber keeps the carabiner secure, preventing unwanted movements and facilitating attachment.
The sling is made of polyamide, a durable material similar to that of dynamic ropes, for greater longevity of the set. Compliant with EN 12275 standards, the strengths are 22 kN vertical, 8 kN horizontal, and 8 kN vertical with the carabiner open.
