The Ascendor 35L Mountain Pack by Rab is a 35-liter backpack designed to offer maximum adaptability during technical ascents, from winter mixed conditions to summer rock routes, positioning itself as the ultimate companion for any mountaineering objective. With a base weight of 1.19 kg, which can be drastically reduced to just 0.67 kg by removing the removable components, this backpack quickly transforms from a robust gear carrier to an agile minimalist summit pack. Made from recycled ripstop nylon with a water-repellent coating that repels snow and abrasions, it features the TRI-FLEX™ back system with a removable HDPE panel that maintains load stability while flexing with the body. The ergonomic harness is complemented by a padded and removable hip belt, essential for not interfering with the climbing harness during the more vertical phases. Volume management is extremely flexible: the top lid is detachable and protects a drawstring closure with a compression flap, while a convenient side access allows for retrieving rope or gear without having to open the main compartment. Designed for fast and light mountaineering, the Ascendor 35 is equipped with an integrated RECCO® reflector for safety, reinforced attachments for ice axes, an A-frame ski carry system, and daisy chain loops for securing extra gear under the upper tensioners. Compatibility with hydration reservoirs up to 3 liters, an ultra-durable metal closure buckle, and dual side compression straps complete a backpack capable of tackling both long ridge days and alpine routes with bivouac.
